Product Testing Supports Manufacturers Every Step of the Way
As your manufacturing partner, Miami Valley Materials Testing Center (MVMTC) of Tipp City, Ohio, offers state-of-the-art product testing services and solutions to help you design and produce products to meet and exceed your customers’ quality standards.
MVMTC supports your quality and product testing needs at every stage, from research and development to production to failure analysis.
We’re experienced in testing products and materials for a wide range of industries.
Before production begins, we save clients valuable time, money and labor with the critical information we collect through a wide array of product testing techniques during the design and prototype stages. We have a team of failure analysis experts who can test prototypes to the point of failure and can determine whether a defect in materials contributed to the breakdown. We also determine expected loads for a particular product and run controlled lab tests to determine if the product is designed to work satisfactorily under these high stress conditions.
We then work with our clients to modify designs accordingly and re-test before production.
With a wide array of state-of-the-art product testing equipment and facilities available to them, MVMTC’s product testing experts can select the most effective and appropriate testing and analytical procedures for a given product.
Our product testing services are supported by facilities that include a metallography lab, a chemical analysis spectrometer, an Instron universal testing system for mechanical property evaluation, a cyclic corrosion tester, and a scanning electron microscope. MVMTC also has its own machine shop that allows our technicians to prepare test specimens for material testing.
Our product testing capabilities include hardness testing, failure analysis, tensile testing, mechanical property testing, corrosion testing optical emissions spectrometer (OES) chemistry analysis, microhardness and macrohardness testing and non-destructive testing (NDT) with methods such as radiography, magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing, electromagnetic testing, acoustic emission testing and penetrant testing.
Nondestructive testing methods offer clients cost-effective, time-saving solutions for product testing and quality control as these methods do not require damaging or disassembling of the product being evaluated.
To help our clients meet production deadlines, while assuring quality, our product testers offer fast turnaround service with timely testing and detailed reports that enable quality managers to quickly make necessary production adjustments.
To support product testing capabilities MVMTC also offers materials testing to help clients select the most appropriate materials for products; weld analysis; failure analysis; and consulting on heat treatment, including case hardening, hardening and tempering, annealing and stress relieving.
